The MNF Student Admin is an online system launched by the Facutly of Science to track the PhD process from start to graduation. In the system milestones have to be updated and completed within the provided deadlines. The system outlines the requirements. Additional information for each milestone can be found below. Each milestone has to be approved by the committee head and the Faculty of science.
After successful matriculation at UZH a profile while automatically be created. The following milestones will appear:

Doctoral agreement |
Please fill the structured form and use the Doctoral Agreement (DOCX, 43 KB) in Documents and Links as a guide. Despite the structured form indicating to not do so, please also upload your doctoral agreement in PDF form next to filling the structured form, if applicable. Furthermore, since 2024, PhDs also need to submit a Pflichtenheft. A commented template of the Needs to be set within 6 months. |

Will only appear once the Committee Meeting 1 milestone has been cleared. Please have a look at the Committee Meeting page. The second committee meeting takes places approximately 12 months after the first committee meeting. The following documents need to be uploaded: 1) Committee meeting form (PDF, 110 KB) signed by all persons involved. 2) Progress report (DOCX, 35 KB). |

Will only appear once the previous Committee Meeting milestone has been cleared. If the previous committee meeting has been the last one, please ignore this milestone. The following documents need to be uploaded: 1) Committee meeting form (PDF, 96 KB) signed by all persons involved. 2) Progress report (DOCX, 35 KB). |

Teaching duties |
Please have a look at the Teaching page. Only submit this milestone shortly before submitting the thesis. Please list each teaching element separately and with the correct title. This is required as otherwise the teaching certificate will not be correct. |

Course work |
Please have a look at the Curriculum page. Only submit this milestone shortly before submitting the thesis. The following documents need to be uploaded: 1) Summary of earned ECTS (DOCX, 33 KB), 2) the official transcript of records, and 3) Declaration of Good Scientific Practice (document you have received after Scientific integrity course). Please contact the PhD program coordinator if certain courses do not appear on your official transcript. |

Registration for graduation |
This milestone can only be completed if all others (apart of latest committee meeting milestone) have been cleared. Please fill the structured form. You will need the title of your thesis, a PDF of your thesis and date, time and location of your Colloquium (public presentation) and Disputation (closed defence of thesis). Must take place no more than 18 months after the last committee meeting. |
